Harleston Museum

Overview

Harleston Museumlocated in King George’s Hall on Broad Street, offers a fascinating insight into the history of Harleston and its surrounding parishes. Run by the Harleston & District Historical Society, this volunteer-led museum showcases artefacts from prehistoric times to the present day. Exhibits explore domestic life, local trades, costume, recreation, and the towns built environment, alongside special displays such as Harleston’s link to the Mayflower and the Pilgrim Fathers. Open from May to September on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the museum provides a warm welcome and free entry, making it a perfect stop for anyone interested in Norfolk’s rich heritage. 

The Museum is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.
